Grant Wahlquist has been named interim director of the Maine Center for Contemporary Art.

As chief operating officer at the Island Institute, Doug Schlemmer will lead operational strategy and work to strengthen organizational capabilities that support the nonprofit's mission and long-term strategic goals.
