“This building is literally a cornerstone to the town’s continued efforts to revitalize, restore and rejuvenate our housing stock and help grow our economy,” said Rumford’s town manager
Kara Wilbur’s Dooryard LLC is continuing to bring housing to the Oxford County town of Rumford, with the addition of an apartment complex at 986 Prospect Ave.
The town's select board board said the building vacated a year ago is well-maintained and prime for preferred tenants that could include a brewery or restaurant.
The Bangor-based development firm is currently rehabbing an 1800s former factory in downtown Orono, one of multiple projects High Tide has tackled across the state.
The project will include 33 one-bedroom apartments in a 28,000-square-foot complex at 101 Hancock St. All units are reserved for residents 55 and older.
Units will be allocated to households earning 50% to 60% of the area median income or less. Seven vouchers will be reserved for tenants with disabilities.
