Penobscot Community Health Care announced the measures as it seeks to reduce operating losses.

"Cooper and Tyler Flagg could have opened their store anywhere and chose to be part of our vibrant downtown, which is filled with small, locally owned businesses," Betsy Lundy, executive director of Downtown Bangor Partnership, told Mainebiz. 

“The property offered the buyers an established, income-producing asset in a highly visible Bangor location,” said one broker.

Penobscot Community Health Care plans to close its Adult Wellness Center in Bangor later this year after its President and CEO warned that the organization's financial future is at serious risk.
