Mayo, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, and Northern Light, the state’s second-largest health care system, have completed their merger, concluding a lengthy process of discussions, votes and regulatory approval.

The Maine Grain Alliance in Skowhegan awarded $12,475 in mini-grants to grain-based businesses including farms, bakeries, a brewery and an oven builder. The grants fund everything from equipment to marketing.

The 300-square-foot converted turkey coop that the late Burt Shavitz, co-founder of Burt's Bees, called home in Parkman is going on its very own road trip to Durham, N.C. where it will be displayed at the company's headquarters.
