Maine heating oil price declines
The average statewide cash price for heating oil has declined by 4 cents to $2.75 a gallon since last week, according to the Governor’s Energy Office.
The Governor’s Energy Office on Tuesday said the average price for kerosene also declined, dipping by 2 cents to $3.35 per gallon. The average propane price, however, increased by 2 cents to $2.75 per gallon.
The average price a year ago for heating oil was $3.76, kerosene $4.16 and propane $3.06. The Governor’s Energy Office said average heating prices have dropped 27% since last year.
