Penobscot Bay chamber head resigns
Staci Coomer, the executive director of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, has resigned to take a job in Washington, D.C.
The Bangor Daily News reported that Coomer, who has led the chamber since October 2012, will complete her last day on March 20. The chamber’s board of directors is expected to launch a search committee and begin an official search for her replacement in the next few weeks.
“The PBRCC board appreciates Staci’s hard work and dedication. She has helped build relationships with local business owners, community leaders and regional organizations,” chamber board President Michael Hall said in Thursday’s announcement.
