Pineland Farms Naturally Potatoes has nearly finished its $7.5 million expansion in Mars Hill.
Rodney McCrum, the company’s president and chief operating officer, told the Presque Isle Star-Herald that the expansion is almost 95% completed. He added that the company has hired 40 full-time workers since last August to support its continuing growth.
Naturally Potatoes, which had $35 million in sales last year, is experiencing rapid growth and providing more opportunities for Aroostook County potato growers, as previously reported by Mainebiz. The company’s mashed potatoes are served in Applebee's, Logan's Roadhouse, 99 Restaurant & Pub, O'Charley's, Pizzeria Uno and Famous Dave's.
