Portside Real Estate Group acquired a former competitor based in Yarmouth.
The acquisition of RE/MAX Heritage, which has been in Yarmouth for 17 years, gives Portside a team of 53 people, including agents and staff, and combined projected annual sales volume of more than $240 million.
Portside recently opened a headquarters in Falmouth, as reported by the Mainebiz Real Estate Insider in September, and, in addition to the Yarmouth site, has an office in Portland. The firm was founded by 2012 and is owned by Dava Davin.
“Maine buyers and sellers are allowing for the growth of independently owned companies like Portside. This partnership exemplifies that and we look forward to strengthening our reach in southern Maine and beyond,” Davin said in a press release.
The Yarmouth RE/MAX Heritage office, which had been owned by Mike LePage, will join Portside. The office will take on the Portside name.
“Merging cultures is never simple, but both of our teams have shown an energy and enthusiasm that is contagious,” said LePage. “The collective ideas and market knowledge of our teams make the whole greater than the sum of its parts. At RE/MAX Heritage, we have always been client-focused which is reflected in the decisions we make. Now, our goal is the same in that we want our clients to know they can expect professionalism, success and fun when they come to Portside.”
Portside offices are at 417 U.S. Route 1 in Falmouth, 330 Forest Ave. in Portland and 765 U.S. Route 1 in Yarmouth.
