SaviLinx adding almost 200 jobs at Brunswick Landing headquarters

SaviLinx, a customer service and tech support center based at Brunswick Landing, is hiring 178 workers to support the expansion of a large seasonal contract with a government agency.

The positions will pay $17.15/hour and up and will help federal employees and retired military and their families navigate their insurance options during the open enrollment period that’s coming up.

SaviLinx is currently hiring for these full-time, seasonal positions for various shifts between 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, the company said in a news release.

The company employs more than 100 people in Maine and approximately 300 in Mississippi, the Bangor Daily News reported.

The company reported that it recently renovated its Maine headquarters office at Brunswick Landing, which now includes new state-of-the-art work stations. The facitlity can accommodate more than 300 agents, has full backup power and internet connectivity for business continuity and serves its customers 24/7.

SaviLinx also employs approximately 300 work-from-home agents in Hattiesburg, Miss., who work on federal contracts. The company is in the process of expanding its footprint there with a new brick-and-mortar facility, according to the release.

Both locations are located within Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZones); SaviLinx earned HUBZone certification in 2017, enabling it to compete for certain federal contracts by hiring employees in these economically challenged areas.

“Each one of our government contracts has increased because we have a great team that delivers excellent service," says Heather D. Blease, founder and CEO of the company. “We are thrilled to have the capacity we need to support our new and expanded contracts.”

More job growth at Brunswick Landing

Brunswick Landing has seen recent plans for additional hiring at Wayfair, too. In July, The Times Record reported a plan to add 150 jobs will bring the online furnishing and home decor company's workforce to 550, meeting its goal of having more than 500 employees in Brunswick.

Overall, redevelopment at Brunswick Landing has been brisk, according to the latest report by Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority Executive Director Steve Levesque in MRRA's summer 2018 newsletter. Levesque cited Wayfair, along with Mölnlycke, SaviLinx, Wicked Joe Coffee, STARC Systems, Planus, Tempus Jets, Flight Deck Brewing, American Classic Aviation, and SteriZign as companies that are growing rapidly and expanding their footprints at Brunswick Landing and Topsham Commerce Park to accommodate growth.
