Androscoggin Bank, based in Lewiston, has appointed Christine Bishop as vice president, government banking services officer.
With over 25 years of sales experience across various industries, she brings knowledge from working with businesses of many sizes. Bishop also has an extensive background in banking and says she can provide clients with tools that assist them with cash flow needs, collateralization, fraud prevention and investment of excess funds.
Prior to joining the bank, Bishop held prominent sales and cash management positions at Machias Savings Bank and the vacation-home site Vacasa.
The Gorham resident received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and has also participated in several sales training courses throughout her career.
Bishop is passionate about mental health awareness and the fight against cancer. She also enjoys volunteer work, particularly for Junior Achievement, where she is a volunteer instructor.
“After meeting the treasury team, I knew that Androscoggin Bank was the right company for me to join as they truly value their people, clients and employees," said Bishop.
“I am also excited to be a part of an organization with 150 years of experience and one that focuses on the businesses and people of Maine.”
Androscoggin Bank has $1.54 billion in total assets and ranks No. 11 among the largest Maine-based banks, based on assets as of June 30, 2023, according to the Mainebiz Book of Lists.
