Mainebiz is a media organization providing business news and information, along with a series of timely and informative events for Maine's business owners and decision-makers with a goal to help businesses succeed.
Through our events, we recognize and celebrate exceptional achievements within the business community. We Connect our audience through hosting interactive events statewide and provide a forum for Maine's business community to share ideas, do business, make connections, and build partnerships.
Mainebiz events are broken up into three categories:
Mainebiz hosts five breakfast-style forums that bring together Maine’s best to share their expertise, insight, knowledge, and experience on a variety of topics that business owners and managers need to know more about while providing quality networking opportunities.
Part of our mission at Mainebiz is to recognize and celebrate outstanding performance and contributions by business leaders in Maine. Each year we seek nominations for these awards from the business community and the honorees we choose to set the standard of doing business in Maine. Our award winners are then recognized in a cover story or special edition within an issue of Mainebiz followed by a reception in their honor, to which the business community is invited to attend.
Mainebiz hosts six receptions in six different regions of Maine in order to bring together each region’s business community for networking and the exchange of ideas.
Prior to each reception, Mainebiz sets up a roundtable discussion with 6–10 business leaders to meet with the Mainebiz editors to exchange ideas and information on regional and statewide business issues, news, and trends. This roundtable discussion takes place from 3 to 5 pm.
Business people from the region are invited to join Mainebiz for a networking reception from 5–7 pm for the reception. Mainebiz provides food, soft drinks, and a cash bar for all attendees. Attendance is complimentary for all local business community members.
