Aroma Joe's, which has an aggressive plan for franchise growth, now has a third Lewiston store.
This new location is at 754 Main St. The 1,500-square-foot store offers both drive-thru and walk-up options.
It is owned and operated by franchisee Tulio DeAlmeida, who opened his first Aroma Joe’s store at 166 Center St. in Auburn in February 2017. He opened his second store at 403 Sabattus St. in Lewiston in January 2020. (Aroma Joe's has another Lewiston location, at 1930 S. Libson St., under a separate franchisee.)
“I came to the U.S. from Brazil with only $473 dollars in my pocket and not speaking any English,” said DeAlmeida. “Over the last six years, Aroma Joe’s has supported me on my path to realizing the American dream. I enjoy making community connections and to make someone’s day better by providing a great product and great customer service. I love Aroma Joe’s, our customers and especially our baristas. They are like family to me.”
Aroma Joe’s was founded in 2000 in Maine and has 93 locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Rhode Island and Connecticut. It is based in South Portland.
Lewiston is one of several new locations opening this year in the company’s home state of Maine.
Aroma Joe’s expects to open more than 500 locations across the East Coast over the next eight years, and has 330 of those locations are already committed.
