Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Maine's largest credit union, has appointed a retail and virtual services manager for its Freeport branch.
Andre Wesner brings over 15 years of customer service and sales experience, plus 13 years of management experience and a wealth of knowledge to his new role.
“I look forward to connecting with my team and our members while also enhancing our services and support within the Freeport community,” said Wesner.
Wesner started at Atlantic FCU more than two years ago as a consumer lender. According to Atlantic FCU, His passion for fostering meaningful relationships with members and employees was evident in his previous position, making him an ideal candidate for this managerial role.
“Andre has exceptional leadership abilities and a fresh perspective that will be incredibly beneficial in his new position,” said Jenn Benn, vice president of member experience. “His extensive sales experience will prove invaluable for the retail division, so we are excited to have him guide our virtual team too.”
Atlantic Federal Credit Union has $1 billion in assets and serves more than 49,000 members, with branches in Biddeford, Brunswick, Cumberland, Freeport, Saco, Sanford, South Sanford, Topsham, Westbrook and York.
In March, the Atlantic FCU announced the completion of its newest branch in Westbrook, at the corner of Larrabee Road and Riverside Street, at Exit 48 off the Maine Turnpike. It also invested $18 million in a new South Portland headquarters.
Atlantic is No. 1 among Maine’s largest credit unions, according to the 2023 Mainebiz Book of Lists. That ranking is ranked on total assets as of Sept. 30, 2022.
