Auburn co. ups production

A local manufacturer is doubling production at its Auburn facility after closing a plant in California.
KICTeam Inc., which makes cleaning cards for equipment such as ATMs and vending machines, is transferring work from its San Diego plant to its plant in Auburn, according to the Sun Journal in Lewiston. The Auburn facility currently employs 85 people and the company expects to add "a handful" of employees due to the increase in production, the paper said.
Earlier this month, Auburn-based KIC Products announced it had merged with San Diego-based Clean Team Co.
