A Bangor financial services firm with a familiar name has adopted a new one.
Deighan Wealth Advisors, founded in 1994 by Jean Deighan and Jenifer Butler, on Tuesday began going by its new moniker, Birchbrook.
CEO Lucie Estabrook said in a press release that the new name reflects the current vision of the firm’s leadership.
“In choosing Birchbrook, we wanted to capture the essence of where we come from,” Estabrook said. “We are recognizing our Maine roots, while inspiring ourselves and others to reach for the sky and move, with grace and purpose, throughout life.”
Estabrook and COO Jennifer Eastman acquired Jean Deighan’s interest in the firm two years ago. Since then, it has expanded offerings to include trust and fiduciary services, endowments, and institutional clients. Services and ownership of the seven-person firm will continue under the new name.
Butler, now a senior advisor to the firm, said, “While the name and logo will change, the values and mission of the firm remain the same. As fiduciaries, we take our responsibilities very seriously. Our clients and their best interests come first, always.”
