Bangor sandwich shop says closure is temporary
Giacomo’s, which serves coffee and sandwiches at 1 Central St. in downtown Bangor, closed abruptly this week.
The Bangor Daily News reported that owner Brett Settle will renovate the space and reopen “at some point” in the spring.
“We are renovating and restructuring and basically giving it a whole facelift,” said Settle told the BDN. “The plan isn’t really to change the concept outright, but after seven and a half years it needs a kick in the pants.”
Settle also owns Brahma Grill at Hammond St. in Bangor.
