Standish-based GDL Paint Inc. has been acquired by Bridgton-based Howell Laboratories Inc. and will now become a division of HLI.
“GDL has been a valuable partner and an integral part of our team supplying equipment to the U.S. Navy for a long time, and we are excited to bring them onboard and provide the support they need to grow the business,” said Joseph McDonnell, president of Howell Laboratories.
Howell Laboratories engineers, manufactures and tests critical equipment for demanding military and commercial applications, including the Navy and Coast Guard. The company has been in business since 1964 and has been supplying fluid processing systems to the US Navy since its inception. It has products aboard every surface ship in the Navy. Howell Laboratories is 100% employee-owned.
GDL specializes in powder coating metal parts and components for commercial, industrial and government customers. Kristine Lang and her employees, C.J.
