The Brunswick Downtown Association has appointed Lynn Mansfield as its next executive director.
Mansfield succeeds Debora King, who announced she was retiring in June. She served in the position since 2012.
Mansfield brings over 27 years of experience in managing nonprofit organizations to her new role, leading the association's mission of promoting the downtown and the needs of members.
“I’m honored to be a part of the Brunswick Downtown Association and to work alongside its dedicated members,” said Mansfield.” I am eager to leverage my experience and knowledge to drive positive change and foster growth in this vibrant community.”
Mansfield will be responsible for strengthening the association's collaborative efforts with businesses and community stakeholders to help enhance the downtown's vibrancy and improve the community's economic well-being. She will also work to advocate for members' interests and ensure the town continues to thrive.
Mansfield raised her family in Durham and has two children who graduated from Brunswick High School.
The nonprofit Brunswick Downtown Association has more than 350 members in Brunswick and beyond. It organizes about 25 events a year. The organization helps coordinate downtown events, improvement projects and sponsor public programs.
