The Central Maine Growth Council, a public-private economic development group in Waterville, has appointed Nicole Timmins as grant and finance manager.
Timmins will oversee CMGC’s granting efforts, including managing the grant administration process, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with grant regulations.
Her work will support the council's existing funding landscape, and she will also oversee its economic recovery implementation hub activities throughout Kennebec and Somerset counties.
“The prospect of spearheading impactful initiatives that empower entrepreneurs and reduce obstacles they face is deeply motivating,” Timmins said in a news release. “I am committed to driving ongoing advancement in this space.”
Timmins has previous experience as the director of finance at Care & Comfort, where she oversaw all aspects of the finance department, including managing staff, billing, accounts receivable and payable, payroll and reconciling the general ledger.
“Her extensive experience overseeing finance operations and funding compliance will be invaluable as we work to support business growth and recovery efforts in our region,” said Garvan Donegan, CMGC director of planning, innovation and economic development.
“Nicole has demonstrated great skill in managing accounts, financial reporting, and staff oversight, which will allow her to excel in this role. Her commitment to empowering entrepreneurs aligns perfectly with our mission.”
Timmins received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Maine.
The Central Maine Growth Council is funded by municipalities and businesses with the goal of fostering a robust regional economy.
