Dufour takes helm at Camden Nat'l

Gregory A. Dufour on Jan. 1 succeeded Robert W. Daigle as president and CEO of Camden National Corp.

Daigle is passing the corporation's reins to Dufour, president and CEO of the corporation's banking subsidiary, Camden National Bank, after 13 years at the head of the corporation. Dufour, who joined the company in April 2001 as senior vice president of finance and principal financial officer, has retained his title as CEO of the bank, as well as become interim CEO of Acadia Trust, N.A., the company's wealth management subsidiary. Camden National Corp. first announced the succession plan in April.

Dufour, a native of Old Town, became CEO of Camden National Bank in January 2006. As CEO of the bank, he expanded its reach into western and Down East Maine with the mergers of UnitedKingfield Bank and Union Trust Co., respectively.
