Allen Insurance and Financial, Maine’s largest employee-owned independent insurance and financial services agency, has hired a new account manager in the company’s business insurance division.
Sam Grinnell of Lincolnville will be based at Allen’s office on Elm Street in Camden. He will provide customer service support to business insurance customers.
Grinnell was self-employed for almost a decade as a carpenter and home inspector. Most recently, he was the aquatics director at the Penobscot Bay YMCA in Rockport. Grinnell received his Maine property and casualty insurance license in January.
“I like that I can use my experience to provide a critical service to our customers,” said Grinnell. “Having worked for myself, I understand what goes into it and navigating risk is a big part of that. I enjoy working with a group of talented and thoughtful and caring team members, it makes every day more fun and encourages me to be the best I can.”
Grinnell is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental studies with a minor in philosophy.
Allen Insurance and Financial is an employee-owned insurance, employee benefits, and financial services company founded in 1866, with offices in Rockland, Camden, Belfast, Southwest Harbor and Waterville.
