ERA Dawson Bradford Co. Realtors moved its Rockland location to 12 Water St., Suite 101, a part of the former MBNA building.
“We are excited to be part of the waterfront business community in Rockland,” said Julie Dawson Williams, the company’s owner and CEO. “This building hosts a growing list of businesses and is a perfect fit for our agents and our customers.”
ERA Dawson Bradford Co., headquartered in Bangor, expanded into midcoast Maine in the spring of 2022 through the acquisition of ERA Cousens Realty in Rockland.
The last major tenant at 12 Water St. was DST Systems Inc., a financial data service company that closed the Rockland location as well as several others around the country when the pandemic disrupted in-person working opportunities in 2020.
Since then, the 77,000-square-foot building has been filing with multiple smaller businesses, rather than the large businesses that had filled the building since it was built in 2001.
“It is a unique and professional space that captures the beauty of its oceanfront views, while offering ample parking and accessibility to downtown,” said Dawson Williams. “We are excited to be here, and excited to grow here.”
In addition to ERA Dawson Bradford Co., the Rockland Harbor YMCA remains a longtime tenant at 12 Water St., as well as other professional offices.
ERA Dawson Bradford Co. has five Realtors in Rockland, as well as Nancy Wolfertz, one of the former owners of Cousens Realty.
ERA Dawson Bradford has operated throughout central and eastern Maine since 1974. Jon and Nancy Dawson started the business and operated it in Bangor for 40 years, and now work with their daughter Julie, who purchased the business with her husband, Brian. It has more than 75 agents.
