Ex-teller indicted for theft

A former Great Falls Regional Federal Credit Union teller was indicted last week on a charge of embezzling more than $10,000 from the credit union.

Kelsey Cyr, 19, of Lewiston, on Wednesday was indicted on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking, according to the Sun Journal. Cyr was a part-time teller at the credit union in Lewiston last summer when she allegedly stole the money. A customer complained to credit union management that Cyr shortchanged him by $85, and further investigation showed $10,000 missing, according to news channel WMTW-8.

Cyr is scheduled to be arraigned in Androscoggin County Superior Court at the end of the month.
