Portland’s first retail medical marijuana dispensary and convenience store opens today.
This one has a bit of a twist: It is a gas station and marijuana storefront — known as Atlantic Farms Gas N’ Grass, at 460 Warren Ave. Its slogan is “Cheapest gas and finest grass.”
It opens under LD 1539, which goes into effect today and allows medical marijuana to be sold through retail storefronts through certified caregivers.
“Featuring a rotating menu from the state’s top growers and caregivers, there are products designed to meet the needs of all. The friendly and knowledgeable staff provide a personalized customer experience unmatched by delivery services and vertically-integrated dispensaries,” the retailer said in a press release. “Gas N’ Grass and Atlantic Farms is excited to serve medical marijuana patients with a valid medical card and ID.”
In addition to gas and medical marijuana, it sells coffee, drinks, snacks and sandwiches.
