In her new role, Neville is responsible for managing all operations of the program. which aims to help food, beverage and agriculture entrepreneurs expand their businesses.

“I hope to be able to help companies scale up their production and distribution networks to add jobs and value to the Maine economy,” Neville told Mainebiz in a text message.

MCE’s Food Accelerator program is part of a larger initiative by FocusMaine to create quality jobs and boost economic diversification in Maine.

MCE also runs a program called MarketShare, which aims to equip Maine food businesses with strategic trade data and analysis so they can spread their wings nationwide.

Currently, 53 Maine businesses are participating in both programs.

Last month, several members or graduates of the programs represented Maine at two trade shows in New York.

Track record

Neville, who hails from England, moved to Maine 24 years ago to work in the food service, manufacturing and supplier industries.
