Gilmore Seafood to close in Bath
Gilmore’s Seafood, a family-run seafood market in Bath that has been in business for 57 years, is scheduled to close on Friday.
The Coastal Journal reported that owner Ben Gilmore has decided to retire and sell the property on Court Street to make way for a proposed CVS Pharmacy at that location. He had purchased the market from his father in 1985.
The weekly newspaper reported, however, that Gilmore’s brother Kevin is considering purchasing the equipment and taking over the seafood market’s name, possibly relocating the business to a nearby property.
