Health provider to expand in Yarmouth

Portland-based health care provider InterMed is launching a renovation and expansion of its center in Yarmouth.
The company plans to add 10,000 square feet to the two-story Yarmouth Health Center by the spring of 2012, according to a press release. The new space will house ob/gyn, family medicine, internal medicine and pediatric practices. Currently, nine physicians work in the Yarmouth office, which was opened in 1986 as a 14,750-square-foot facility. "Once the project is complete, InterMed will be equipped to accommodate new patients and offer a greater range of care than before," said CEO Dan McCormack.
The company has offices on Marginal Way in Portland and Foden Road in South Portland.
