Husson launches new business college

Husson University's board of trustees has approved a new college of business that will help it attract more students.

The college of business includes four schools -- accounting; business and management; hospitality, sport and tourism management; and legal studies -- and will offer more than 200 courses in Bangor, Portland, Presque Isle and York County, according to a press release. Though Husson has been offering business education for more than 100 years, the new college "provides...an overall appropriate structure for our growing academic offerings and a great framework for future expansion," and provides more opportunities for corporate and community partnerships, according to the release.

The college of business is the state's largest, with nearly 1,400 students, and Husson recently began offering an MBA.
