The Auditing Standards Board, the American Institute of CPAs senior committee that issues auditing, attestation and quality control statements, standards and guidance to CPAs for nonpublic company audits, appointed Tracy Harding as a new member for the 2016-17 volunteer service year. Robin Alden, a former commissioner of the Maine Department of Marine Resources, was named a “Champion of Change for Sustainable Seafood” by the White House. Alden, the founding executive director of Penobscot East Resource Center, was one of 12 people from across the country to receive the award, which recognizes local leaders who have devoted themselves to helping the United States become a global leader in sustainable seafood management.
