Great Falls Construction, a construction management and general contracting company in Portland, recently announced that it will finance the rebuilding of The Cookie Jar bakery in Cape Elizabeth, according to a press release from the construction company.
Great Falls’ owner, Jon Smith, has designed a plan to finance and renovate the building, which had been closed since 2006 when a storm tore off its roof. The bakery had been operating in Cape Elizabeth for more than 50 years.
Smith and the Great Falls Construction team will provide the financial means needed for restoration and reopening.
