Civil Arms Inc., a federally licensed firearms distributor, importer and exporter, has purchased two lots in Skowhegan’s Southgate Industrial Park.
The Waterville Sentinel reported that Civil Arms and its Canadian partner paid $55,000 for the lots and plan to begin construction of a 12,000-to-15,000-square-foot warehouse this spring. The industrial park is located off Route 201 about 1.5 miles from the Sappi Fine Paper Plant on Southgate Parkway.
Based in Windham, Civil Arms is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Department of Commerce and supplies international dealers, distributors and individuals with firearms and accessories that are available in the United States, according to the company’s website.
It sells and exports firearms and accessories made by Bushmaster, DPMS Firearms,TAPCO and Stormlake, among other manufacturers.
