Katahdin Bankshares Corp. (QTCQX: KTHN), the Houlton-based parent company of Katahdin Trust Co., has hired Tom Dwyer as assistant vice president, commercial services officer.
Dwyer will assist with developing and servicing commercial loan and banking relationships in the greater Bangor area.
He is based at the bank’s office at 52 Springer Drive in Bangor. The office serves individuals and businesses, offering a full suite of banking solutions, including checking, savings and loan products.
“With his previous commercial banking experience, he’s sure to be a great asset to our current and future business customers,” said Angela Tennett Butler, executive vice president and chief banking officer.
Before joining the bank, he worked at Camden National Bank for three years and held various leadership roles. He has also held leadership positions at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond.
Dwyer received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine at Orono and graduated from the Northern New England School of Banking in 2023.
Katahdin Trust, founded in 1918, has 16 offices serving customers in Aroostook, Penobscot and Cumberland counties.
It is ranked No. 16 among the largest Maine-based banks in the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on assets of $1 billion as of June 30, 2023.
