On May 8, more than 100 real estate agents from Keller Williams Maine stepped away from their daily business duties to participate in RED Day, the company’s annual day of service dedicated to “renewing, energizing and donating” in the communities they serve.
This year, agents helped organizations across Maine, including a major cleanup effort at the Togus VA Medical Center, Sweetser Houses in Saco and Sanford, Camp William Hinds in Raymond, Andwell Hospice House, Making It Home, Spurwink, Community Housing Improvement Project, Catherine Morrill Day Nursery and the Midcoast Youth Center.
Services included landscaping, painting, organizing supplies and providing hands-on support.
Janice Ryder and the Lifestyle Properties team organized RED Day, coordinated locations, handled behind-the-scenes logistics, and prepared and delivered lunches to the volunteers.
RED Day was established in 2009 in honor of Keller Williams co-founder Mo Anderson's birthday. With over 190,000 affiliated agents worldwide, RED Day has grown into a global initiative, with tens of thousands of Keller Williams associates spending the second Thursday of May volunteering in their local communities.
