Kennebunk area chamber leader resigns

After less than a year at the helm, the executive director of the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport-Arundel Chamber of Commerce has resigned.

The York County Coast Star reported Suzanne McKechnie, who took the job in December 2012, announced her resignation during a board meeting last week.

Board President David Cluff told the paper that McKechnie said she felt she was not meeting her professional goals. The chamber is seeking an interim director in the coming weeks and expects it could take three to six months to hire a new leader.
