A new Realtor at Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty once walked the 500-mile Camino de Santiago.
Eliza Rauscher also previously crewed on sailboats, delivering a 90-foot yacht through the Panama Canal and up to New York City.
Rauscher joined the brokerage in Portland with Heather Shields’ team, specializing in southern Maine, the midcoast and ski areas.
From her early years in New Hampshire to her teenage life in Maine’s midcoast, her early adventures were followed by living in Los Angeles while working on an MTV show and then in Washington, D.C.. There, her husband served for U.S. Sen. Angus King, I-Maine.
Since then, they’ve invested in real estate in various locations until finding a home in Cape Elizabeth.
Her early career also includes working at a Portland-based advertising agency, where she produced ads for various clients, including global and Fortune 500 companies. As a producer, she operated large budgets and managed a team of creatives to deliver content that met clients’ marketing initiatives.
In Los Angeles, she transitioned to television and worked as a field producer on an MTV reality show. The roles required her to balance evolving needs with rigid timelines and budgets, and to effectively communicate with stakeholders who had conflicting expectations.
