The Maine Community Foundation has added three staff members to its philanthropy team, which secures funding commitments in support of the organization's mission.
“We are excited to welcome three new staff members,” Bree Arsenault, vice president of philanthropy, told Mainebiz. “Their experience and skills are assets to the foundation and this expanded capacity will help MaineCF engage our community of philanthropists across the state.”
Liz DeLois is now the foundation’s director of philanthropy, and will work with individual and institutional donors. DeLois previously held senior positions at CARE USA and the American Jewish World Service, where she managed high-level donor relationships and led strategic partnerships.
Nathan Finberg joins MaineCF as a philanthropy associate. He provides direct support to the vice presidents of philanthropy and donor engagement and helps facilitate the teams' daily operations. Finberg was previously a software engineer at Athenahealth. He is a registered Maine Guide and leads kayaking tours at Portland Paddle. He graduated from Tufts University with a bachelor’s degree in quantitative economics.
Amy Minton is the new director of prospect research. In this role, she will lead efforts to identify and learn about individuals, corporations and foundations that are potential donors. Minton most recently led development research at Bowdoin College and is a longtime member of the New England Development Research Association. She received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maine and a master’s degree from Syracuse University.
Headquartered in Ellsworth, with additional personnel in Portland, Dover-Foxcroft, Mars Hill, Rockland and Rockport, MaineCF works to improve Maine through strategic giving, community leadership, personalized service, local expertise and strong investments.
