Maine heat pump business acquired by Philadelphia home services company

A Maine heat pump business, Dave's World, has been acquired by Sila Services, a Philadelphia-based home services company.

Terms of the deal, announced Wednesday, were not disclosed. 

Dave's World is a family-owned heat pump installation business with offices in Dover-Foxcroft, Edgecomb, Ellsworth, Presque Isle, Scarborough and Windham. A seventh location is coming soon.

The company employs nearly 100 people, according to its website, and has made more than 11,000 installations statewide in 20 years of business.

Sila Services, based in King of Prussia, Pa., is a home services platform offering a range of residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment and indoor air quality services.

The company has acquired several businesses over the past few months and currently operates 30 brands throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic region and Midwest.
