The Maine Real Estate and Development Association on Tuesday morning named seven developments, from corporate headquarters to affordable housing, as winners of the group’s 2019 Notable Project awards.
The annual honors recognize “the most noteworthy and significant Maine commercial development projects from the previous year, all of which embody the association's mission to support responsible development,” according to a news release.
The seven recipients this year distinguished themselves in design, construction, land-use, and providing benefit to their communities, MEREDA said.
The winning projects and their developers, as described by the association, are:
MEREDA said it had intended to honor the recipients at its 35th Anniversary Gala, which was scheduled for March but has been postponed indefinitely because of the pandemic. The projects and their developers will be recognized at a future event.
“Though they may have their formal award delayed, these projects have only gained practical significance as they serve their communities — especially under additional strain and stress of these unprecedented times,” the association said in the release.
