Maine Savings Federal Credit Union has promoted a 24-year veteran to vice president of community engagement and impact.
Janine Tremble will focus on engaging with the communities Maine Savings Federal Credit Union serves through nonprofit partnerships, new partnerships and continuing to provide support to the Maine Savings board of directors.
She will also oversee the distribution of the credit union's charitable donations and guide community-focused sponsorships.
During her tenure, she has served as the CEO's executive assistant, liaison to the board of directors and marketing specialist.
Tremble serves several causes, including the Black Bear Board, Alfond Golf Tournament Committee and the Bangor Region YMCA board. She has served and supported the athletes of the University of Maine by dedicating over 15 years to raising funds for athletic scholarships.
Tremble received a degree in retail management from the University of Maine.
Maine Savings was founded in 1961. It has more than 35,000 members, 11 branches and over 140 employees and branches in Bangor, Bar Harbor, Brewer, Corinth, Ellsworth, Hampden, Milo, North Vassalboro, Old Town and Portland.
Maine Savings was ranked No. 2 among the largest Maine-based credit unions in the 2023 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on total assets as of Sept. 30, 2022.
