Mainebiz has chosen eight companies as finalists for the Mainebiz “Fastest Growing Companies in Maine” awards.
All eight companies have exhibited tremendous growth over three years and made significant contributions to Maine’s economy.
Three winners will be picked — one each from the small-, mid- and large-sized company categories.
In the large category, with 75 employees or more, the finalists are: Apothecary By Design, OTTO Pizza and Tilson Technology.
In the mid-sized category, with 26 to 74 employees, the finalists are: Horch Roofing and Maine Coast.
In the small-business category, with up to 25 employees, the finalists are: Cheating Gourmet, Energy Circle and Maine Foodie Tours.
Mainebiz will honor the finalists and name the fastest growing in each category on Dec. 8, from 5-7 p.m., at the Portland Club, at 158 State St. in Portland. Tickets for the event are $40 ($45 after Nov. 18). Registration is available online.
The companies will be profiled in the Dec. 12 print edition of Mainebiz.
Last year, Apothecary By Design, a Portland-based specialty pharmacy, was the fastest growing in the large-company category. Landry/French Construction was the mid-sized winner and Rising Tide Brewing won in the small-business category.
