Mainebiz is proud to recognize four remarkable individuals as the 2020 Business Leaders of the Year.
The 2020 Business Leaders are Mainers who have helped shape the state's economic vitality over the past 12 months, and sometimes much longer. Drawn from both the commercial and nonprofit sectors, these leaders will undoubtedly continue to shape Maine's vitality in the challenging months to come.
A reception honoring this year’s recipients, originally scheduled for April 28, has been postponed because of the ongoing public health crisis. New plans for a celebration are still being developed, and Mainebiz will provide an update once they’re worked out.
The first Business Leader of the Year was named in 2001: Alan Baker, retired owner and publisher of The Ellsworth American. Since then, Mainebiz has recognized some four dozen CEOs, entrepreneurs, nonprofit directors and others with this annual award.
The 2020 Business Leaders of the Year continue the legacy of previous recipients, and we invite you to read about these newest honorees.
Roccy Risbara, President, Risbara Bros. Construction Co.
