Becker’s Hospital Review has named Marcy Dunn, chief information officer for MaineHealth and Maine Medical Center, to the 2019 edition of the “100 hospital and health system CIOs to know” annual list.

“The executives featured on this list lead technology and health IT initiatives for large and small health care providers across the U.S.,” the trade publication for health care professionals  stated. “ They oversee electronic health record installations, cyber-security, new patient portals and telemedicine advancements. Many have built robust technology departments and teams, including clinical and non-clinical experts. The individuals and institutions featured here have received recognition from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, and in many cases their institutions have earned CHIME's HealthCare's Most Wired designation.”

Dunn began serving in her role in October 2016 and is responsible for leading MaineHealth’s information technology division and its Shared Electronic Health Record program. Under her leadership, the 637-bed Maine Medical Center was named one of HealthCare's Most Wired hospitals in 2018.

Dunn has more than 30 years of experience in information technology and systems management in healthcare settings, including holding CIO roles with Episcopal Health Services in Uniondale, N.Y., and Catholic Health Services of Long Island in Melville, N.Y. During her time as CIO of Catholic Health Services, she oversaw an extensive upgrade of the organization’s information systems, including implementation of the EPIC electronic medical records and the Lawson/Info enterprise resource planning platforms.
