The Maine Office of Marijuana Policy is holding a series of free, public sessions designed to orient the state cannabis industry on new software that will help track and trace marijuana products.
The office will introduce the technology, BioTrackTHC, at a kickoff event Monday, Sept. 16, from 9-11:30 a.m., at the Augusta Civic Center, 76 Community Drive, according to a news release.
The event will give medical marijuana program dispensaries and caregivers, potential licensed adult-use businesses and other stakeholders an overview and demonstration of the software. Maine OMP Director Erik Gundersen and the vendor's representatives will speak and take questions.
The kickoff will be followed by five in-depth training sessions throughout the week for dispensary personnel and caregivers. The OMP will hold training sessions for potential adult-use licensees in October.
Because of space constraints, the office is encouraging those who want to attend the kickoff to register in advance. Advance registration is required to attend any of the training sessions. Registration is available through the links below.
