MTI awards nearly $1.5 to 28 ME cos.
The Maine Technology Institute announced nearly $1.5 million in awards it will give to 28 Maine companies.
The companies span technology industries from aquaculture to forestry and precision manufacturing, according to a press release.
The most recent awards included development loans of nearly $500,000 to the Yarmouth-based Fluid Imaging Technologies for development of an automated particle analysis instrument and over $218,000 to Gorham-based Pika Energy for the development of a wind energy system for the residential market.
All of the loans awarded through MTI require the company to match or exceed the loan amounts. See all 28 of this year's award recipients at MTI's website.
