Michelle Ibarguen, the Augusta branch manager and president of the independent insurance provider Cross Insurance, has been appointed chairwoman for the board of the Maine Insurance Association.
Ibarguen has three decades of combined surety and commercial insurance experience, beginning her career at two national insurance surety companies before pursuing opportunities with an independent agency like Cross Insurance.
She came onboard at Cross Insurance in 2002, where she has served as president and branch manager in the insurance provider’s Augusta office.
In addition to the Maine Independent Insurance Agents Association, Ibarguen is an active board member of both the Associated General Contractors of Maine and Maine Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association.
