New hires

York Hospital hired David Hall as chief philanthropy officer. Hall was most recently regional director of philanthropy and volunteer services at Hartford HealthCare.

Verrill, a law firm in Portland, hired Shawn Doil as partner and Tyler Hereth and Michaela Rice as associate attorneys in the firm’s trial and litigation group.

The Boulos Co., a commercial real estate broker in Portland, hired Andy Gerry as vice president of operations. Previously, Gerry was vice president of customer care at Custom Ink.

Portland Housing Authority hired Anamika Chaudhari as director of finance and administration.

Milestone Funeral Partners in Auburn hired Christopher Sasso as chief development officer.

Bath Savings hired David Gerber as vice president, investment officer. Gerber was previously COO at Circa.

Thriving Proof, an alternative medicine practitioner in Brewer, hired Cassandra Generlette as a physician.

The Alfond Youth & Community Center in Waterville hired Jesse Labreck as NinjAdventure Zone manager and head coach. Labreck was a participant on the TV show “American Ninja Warrior.”

Rytualist Aesthetics Bar in Portland hired Alison Lee as on-site medical director and Amanda Duca as a tox and dermal filler injector.

The Dance Hall in Kittery hired Christine Penney as executive director. Penney was previously chief advancement officer at the Dempsey Center.

Colliers, a commercial real estate firm in Portland, hired Kevin Coyne as a brokerage associate.

CORE, a commercial real estate agency in Portland, hired Stephen Smith as property manager for Biddeford’s Pepperell Mills campus and Josh Paquette as maintenance technician.

St.Germain, an environmental consulting firm in Westbrook, hired Susan Parmelee as an environmental scientist.

Northern Light Cancer Care in Brewer hired Taruna Arora as an oncologist and hematologist.

Pine Tree Society in Bath hired Kate McElligott as president and CEO. McElligott was previously a manager and strategist for the Center for Learner Equity, a national policy and advocacy nonprofit in New Orleans. focused on improving school systems for students with disabilities.

Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority in Brunswick hired Daniel Stevenson as executive director. Previously, Stevenson was economic development director for the city of Westbrook.

Dentons Bingham Greenebaum, a law firm in Portland, hired Andrew Clearwater as partner. Clearwater is an expert in privacy law and AI.

Promotions

Baker Newman Noyes, a CPA and accounting firm in Portland, promoted Courtney Francis, Meredith Fuller, Chris Hussey, Stephanie Joyce, Jiten Kariya and Kelly Pelletier to principal.

Bath Savings promoted Danielle Lavache to vice president, senior trust officer; Jenny Maddox to vice president, bank security officer; Susan Mason to vice president, retail lending; Jessica McIntire to assistant vice president, deposit operations; and Lindsay Jones to loan servicing officer.

Catholic Charities Maine in Portland promoted Jon Blanchard to program director of hunger and relief services. Blanchard was previously from assistant director.

Kennebec Savings Bank in Augusta promoted Marco Stigling to vice president and residential lending manager. Stigling was previously an assistant vice president.

Sargent Corp., an earthwork construction company in Orono, promoted James McCarthy to lead estimator. McCarthy previously served as superintendent.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust promoted Abby Welch to branch relationship manager in Northeast Harbor. Previously, Welch was a floating personal banker.

C&L Aviation Group, an aircraft parts supplier and aviation service provider in Bangor, promoted Brad Vieux to vice president of business development, Kristina Snow to director of business development and Nick Phair to director of sales of the corporate aircraft parts.

Skowhegan Savings Bank promoted Andrew Fortin-Trimble to senior vice president chief banking officer. Fortin-Trimble was senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

UScellular promoted Kyle Burbine to director of sales and operations for its New England Region. Most recently, Burbine served as interim director of sales and operations for the New England Region.

Franklin Savings Bank in Farmington promoted Lauren Breton to commercial loan servicing officer.

Appointments

The University of Maine at Augusta announced that Vickie Ireland, assistant professor of nursing, was selected to serve on the American Nurses Association’s Nursing: Scope & Standards, 5th Edition revision workgroup for the 2025-26 term.

Thomas College in Waterville said that James Libby, business professor, was appointed to the Maine Intelligence Task Force by Maine Senate President Matthea Daughtry. Libby also serves as member of the Maine Senate, representing District 22 (parts of Cumberland, Oxford and Cumberland counties).

Spurwink, a nonprofit in Portland that provides a broad range of behavioral health care, substance use disorder services and support services for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, and their families, added Corrie Brown and Cynthia Curry to its board of directors. Brown is executive director at Healthy Androscoggin while Curry is director of the National Center on Accessible Digital Educational Materials & Instruction at the Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice at Utah State University.

Achievements

The University of Maine at Augusta announced that Rick Burns, senior events and learning media production specialist, received the “2025 AVA Digital Awards” platinum distinction for the production of the music video “You Will Carry Me.”

Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury property company in Portland, said it ranked first for Maine property sales over $500,000.

Pierce Atwood, a law firm in Portland, announced that World Trademark Review “WTR 1000” recognized Jonathan Gelchinsky, partner and trademark practice group chair, and the firm’s trademark practice.

The University of Southern Maine in Portland said it was named one of 216 institutions to meet the “2025 Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education” standards for research colleges and universities.

The American Heart Association announced that “2025 Crystal Heart” awards will be presented to Amanda Rand, president and CEO of Spinnaker Trust, and Charlie Therrien, president of Northern Light Mercy Hospital. The award recognizes individuals who strive to make Maine a better place to live, work and thrive through their commitment to the well-being of Maine citizens.

The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce announced its 2025 Award Winners including Dan Tremble, “Norbert X. Dowd Award;” Frank’s Bake Shop, “Large Business of the Year Award;” Henry’s Bridal Boutique, “Small Business of the Year Award;” Community Health and Counseling Services, “Nonprofit of the Year Award;” Compotech, “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award;” Tammy Higgins, “Sarah Dubay Community Service Award;” Annette Dodd, “Spirit of the Region Cultural Award;” and Elizabeth Russell, “Volunteer of the Year Award.”
