New hires

Constant, a fintech SaaS provider of digital loan servicing solutions in Portland, hired Gary Gause as lead developer. Gause has 25 years of experience leading high performing development teams primarily at startups.

Trillium Engineering in Yarmouth hired Ed Ledoux as a senior project manager.

Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford hired Keith Bourgeois, Karyn King and Daniel North as primary care providers in Kennebunk; Eric Eisenberg and Brittany Grace Whitaker as primary care providers in Sanford; and Robert Lyman as a primary care provider in Biddeford.

Preti Flaherty, a law firm in Portland, hired Daniel Bourque as an attorney in its intellectual property practice group. Bourque has 30 years of private practice experience in intellectual property law.

Maine Association of Nonprofits in Portland hired Mary Alice Scott as public affairs manager. Scott was executive director of Portland Buy Local.

Rudman Winchell, a law firm in Bangor, hired Daniel Pulaski as a member of its real estate and transactions group. Pulaski was previously a law clerk for Liberty Mutual.

Tilson, a network deployment and technology services provider in Portland, hired Darrell Ingram as COO and president. Previously, Ingram served as COO at Nexius, a national deployment services company in Texas.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust hired Hannah Horrigan as branch relationship manager in Brunswick. Horrigan most recently worked in supplier operations and logistics at Wayfair.

Midcoast Federal Credit Union in Freeport hired Mardi Farmer as member/financial services representative in Bath.

The city of Portland’s Health and Human Services Department hired Alfredo Vergara as public health director. Vergara will start in the role on August 15, 2022, after relocating from Mozambique where he currently serves as the CDC Country Director and Division of Global HIV and TB program director.

Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury real estate company in Portland, hired Donte Calarco as a real estate professional in its Camden office.

Trademark Federal Credit Union in South Portland hired Peter St. Onge as president and CEO. St. Onge was previously director of branch experience at Infinity Credit Union.

BroGue Insurance & Financial Services in Bangor hired Zachary Hackett, who is licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health insurance.

Fontaine Family, an Auburn real estate firm, hired Ryan Boucher as a sales agent. Boucher was previously the owner of Sabattus House of Pizza.

CourseStorm, a technology firm in Orono, hired Greg Shula as a marketing associate in its marketing department and Nicholas Riegel as a quality assurance analyst on its product team.

Promotions

Diversified Communications, an international media company in Portland, promoted Julie Roopenian to senior conference coordinator, BCOM; Lynn Maziarz to digital marketing specialist, marketing communications, digital marketing; Lindsey Hall to senior registration coordinator, registration; Kelsey Philbrick to digital solutions specialist, digital solutions team; Simone Verria to digital marketing specialist, inbound team; David Fournier to director, infrastructure and security, IT and marketing group; Kelcey George to senior marketing coordinator, seafood/health care group; Casey Descoteaux to database analyst, data team; and Casey Reynolds to sales manager, tech team.

Geiger, a promotion products distributor in Lewiston, promoted Sam Stewart to key account manager in corporate programs. Stewart was previously program manager.

Camden National Bank promoted Heather Robinson to executive vice president, chief human resources officer. Robinson was senior vice president, chief human resources officer.

Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp. in Bangor, promoted Mike Burton to senior vice president and general manager of Cross Benefit Solutions based in Portland. Burton most recently served as chief sales officer for Cross Insurance.

The Lewiston Auburn 911 Emergency Communications Center committee promoted Timothy Hall to director. Hall previously served as operations manager.

The Maine Municipal Association promoted Kate Dufour, director of state and federal relations, to lead its merged departments of state and federal relations and communications.

Morgan Stanley’s wealth management office in Portland promoted Eric Blakeman, financial advisor and financial planning specialist, and Lance Prichard, financial advisor and senior investment management consultant, to senior vice presidents; Gary Bergeron, financial advisor and corporate retirement director, Jeremiah Burns, financial advisor and family wealth director, and Todd Doolan, financial advisor and senior portfolio management director, to executive directors; Iain Eldredge, financial advisor and senior portfolio manager, and Peter Metcalf, financial advisor, to vice presidents; and Tammy Weston, financial advisor and senior portfolio manager, to associate vice president.

Appointments

Gov. Janet Mills appointed AARP Maine State Director Noël Bonam to the Maine Climate Council.

Verrill, a law firm in Portland, said Kelsey McCutcheon, associate, was selected to join the Environmental Law Institute’s Emerging Leaders Initiative.

Achievements

Baker Newman Noyes, an accounting and consulting firm in Portland, said it won ClearlyRated’s “Best of Accounting Award” for the fourth consecutive year after receiving a Net Promoter Score of 82%, more than double the industry’s average of 38% in 2021.

UScellular announced that it received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index, a benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.
