While at IMG Models in Paris and New York City, he signed and developed talent, while playing a key role in generating new sources of revenue, according to a news release.

He also oversaw media partnerships with prominent networks, streaming platforms and publications such as Vogue and W. Also at IMG Models, he was the driving force behind several significant health, education and charitable initiatives.

"David brings energy and focus to communications and relationship building," said Amanda Lahikainen, the museum's executive director. "His experience at IMG Models demonstrates that he operates at the highest level. We are so excited to bring him onto the team during this time of growth and transition."

Cunningham holds a bachelor's degree in art history from the American University of Paris and a bachelor's degree in fine arts in painting and sculpture from Parsons Paris.

During his 10-year stay in France, he also pursued studies in drawing and printmaking at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Cunningham, who now resides in York, said he is excited to join the museum team and play a role in advancing the museum's mission and fortifying its important place in American art.
