Orvis renews lease on Bow Street in Freeport

The Orvis Co. Inc. has renewed its lease on Bow Street in Freeport. The Sunderland, Vt.-based company sells clothing, home furnishing, dog beds and luggage, as well as its signature fly fishing equipment.

Downtown Freeport has some noticeable vacancies in the post-holiday season as some leases aren’t being renewed.

Orvis leases 10,000 square feet in the building, about a block east of Main Street. The renewal was brokered by Greg Boulos of CBRE | The Boulos Co.

The outlet has been in downtown Freeport since July 2013. It was founded in Manchester, Vt., in 1856 and operates 69 retail stores and 10 outlet stores in the U.S. Its other Maine outlet is in Kittery.
