Podcast: Boatbuilder, school team up to keep current
One of Maine's well-known manufacturers of canoes and kayaks has teamed up with a world-renowned boatbuilding school in Arundel to help modernize the company's practices and introduce new technology, while also giving students the chance to produce ready-for-market watercraft.
Lincoln Canoe & Kayak of Freeport and the Landing School's composites program are entering the second year of their partnership. Lincoln gains the benefit of The Landing School's state-of-the-art composites facility, computer-aided design programs and student work force while helping the Landing School better prepare students for jobs in the rapidly expanding composites field.
